The Vermont Assistive Technology Program offers trainings and presentations in either an in person or online format. Public Awareness presentations are general, designed to introduce individuals to what assistive technology is and how it might benefit themselves. Trainings are more focused on a specific subject. Materials Provided
- Flyers, physical or accessible PDF, about the Vermont Assistive Technology Program.
- A copy of the accessible PowerPoint presentation.
- A digital list of resource links related to our program.
- Example vendor catalogs or links to vendor websites.
- Flyers, physical or accessible PDF, for other relevant programs, such as the Independence fund or Equipment Distribution program.
Facility Requirements for Public Awareness Events
- The venue must be wheelchair accessible.
- Access to a table for displaying.
- A table space that has room around it for a power wheelchair.
- Access to Wifi.
- Access to Electricity.
Additionally, for Group Presentations
- A quiet room with enough seating for all participants.
- A clear place on a wall to project, a projection screen, or a wall mounted large screen TV.
Technical Requirements for Online Public Awareness Events
- Modern web browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Edge) on a tablet or computer.
- Headset and / or video camera optional.

If there are any special accommodation requests, please notify us as soon as possible.
